Winter Weather Advisory issued December 28 at 4:23AM AKST until December 29 at 6:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations
of up to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Visibility
reduced to one half mile.

* WHERE…Thompson Pass and Keystone Canyon.

* WHEN…Until 6 AM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility to one half mile or
less for extended periods of time.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds will increase overnight Friday and
remain gusty. Recent snowfall will easily be lofted and will be
prone to blowing and drifting. Blowing of snow is expected to
gradually decrease with improving visibilities later Saturday
night into Sunday as snow compacts.
