Multiple rounds of snow and gusty winds will continue to impact the
northern Colorado mountains through Monday. One break in the action
will occur this morning, but then the next round moves in this
afternoon and evening. Another break is expected Sunday late
morning through early evening, before the final wave of snow moves
in late Sunday evening and continues through at least mid day
Monday. If you are planning to travel through the northern Colorado
mountains, attempt to do so when winter travel conditions will have
less impact during one of those breaks.
* WHAT…Snow and blowing snow increasing this afternoon and
evening. New snow snow accumulations through Sunday morning 4 to
11 inches, heaviest north of I-70. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.
* WHERE…Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range,
and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the
Indian Peaks.
* WHEN…From 11 AM this morning to 11 AM MST Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Snow covered roads and areas of blowing snow will make
travel hazardous.
