Flood Advisory issued December 29 at 1:14PM EST until December 29 at 3:30PM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the
following county, Ashe.

* WHEN…Until 330 PM EST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream
flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 114 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
– This includes the following streams and drainages…
Beaver Creek, Cut Laurel Creek, Helton Creek, Hoskin Fork,
Darnell Creek, Big Horse Creek, Call Creek, Grassy Creek, Big
Laurel Creek and Dog Creek.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
