.Strong west to northwest winds with a potent weather system
passing through southern Colorado will bring very dry and warm
conditions to areas along and east of the central mountain chain
today. The combination of strong winds, low humidity, well above
normal temperatures, and very dry fine fuels will lead to critical
fire weather over the northeast and east-central plains. Winds
will diminish through sunset today.
* AREA AND TIMING…The Northeast Plains (Zone 104) and the East-
Central Plains (Zone 126) from 9 AM to 6 PM today.
* 20 FOOT WINDS…West-northwest 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55
mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Minimum values between 10 and 15 percent.
