After a cold front crosses the region late today, cold air will
arrive on strong northwest winds this evening. Snow showers are
expected to develop along and near the Tennessee border this
evening, then continuing overnight, before tapering off late
Wednesday morning. Accumulations will range from a dusting at
lower elevations up to 1-3 inches above 5000 feet, mainly over the
Smokies and northern Highlands. Watch out for slippery spots on
roads late tonight and early Wednesday morning.
