Winter Storm Warning issued December 31 at 1:21PM MST until January 2 at 5:00PM MST by NWS Grand Junction CO

* WHAT…Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations between 8 and 16
inches with locally higher amounts possible. Winds gusting as high
as 35 mph.

* WHERE…Elkhead and Park Mountains.

* WHEN…From 2 PM Wednesday to 5 PM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.
Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and
Thursday morning commutes.
