Cold Weather Advisory issued January 2 at 12:31PM AKST until January 4 at 9:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Very cold temperatures as low as 50 below.

* WHERE…Thompson Pass

* WHEN…Until 9 AM AKST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Temperatures for Thompson Pass will remain
below zero through Saturday morning. Additionally, winds will
continue to intensify, with gusts reaching as high as 60 mph. This
combination will produce wind chill values as low as 50 below zero.
