Lake Effect Snow Warning issued January 2 at 1:20PM EST until January 5 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 1 to
2 feet in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as
40 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE…Wayne County. The greatest snow accumulations will be
across the northern and eastern portion of the county.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult at times with deep snow
cover on roads and poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will
impact the Friday evening commute.
