Special Weather Statement issued January 2 at 3:21PM EST by NWS Morristown TN

Snowfall accumulations are possible across elevations of 2500
feet or higher on Friday. Total accumulations are expected to be
between a dusting and 2 inches, with the possibility of over 3
inches being confined to highest peaks.

Any accumulations of snow or other wintry precipitation are
expected to be light. However, driving and walking may be
difficult on some untreated roadways and paths across the higher
elevations of the mountains. Be prepared for slippery roads and
limited visibilities across the higher terrain. If traveling
through the mountains, slow down and allow extra time to reach
your destination.
