Special Weather Statement issued January 2 at 3:22AM CST by NWS Lincoln IL

Light snow is expected to spread into central IL during this
afternoon and evening, possibly mixed with light rain this afternoon
from Lincoln southward. Light snow should diminish from the west
during late this evening into overnight. Snow accumulations of a
half to 1 inch will be likely from Macomb to Lincoln to Paris
northeast, with the higher amounts from I-74 north. Between 1 and 2
inches of snow is possible along and north of a Galesburg to Lacon
line. Untreated roads could become slippery this afternoon and
evening, especially after sunset as temperatures cool below
freezing. Exercise caution if driving this afternoon and tonight
allowing extra time to reach your destination.
