Winter Weather Advisory issued January 2 at 1:20PM EST until January 5 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

* WHAT…Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 6 to 12
inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as
40 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE…Allegany County. The greatest accumulations will be across
the higher terrain in the western portion of the county.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be difficult at times with snow covered
roads and reduced visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact
the Thursday evening and Friday commutes.
