Winter Weather Advisory issued January 2 at 1:24PM CST until January 4 at 6:00AM CST by NWS Marquette MI

* WHAT…Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 6
and 14 inches with the highest accumulations north of highway
M-28. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Alger, Luce, and Northern Schoolcraft Counties.

* WHEN…Until 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
