Winter Weather Advisory issued January 2 at 2:24PM EST until January 3 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.

* WHERE…Portions of central, north central, northeast, and
northern Maryland.

* WHEN…From 1 PM to 7 PM EST Friday. A band of snow showers will
traverse the region Friday afternoon into the evening. Most areas
will only see an hour or two of snowfall.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Where heavier bursts of snow, this could
overcome warmer road temperatures and potentially result in some
slushy accumulation on untreated paved surfaces.
