Lake Effect Snow Warning issued January 3 at 2:50PM EST until January 4 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY

* WHAT…Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two
inches will result in event total accumulations between 6 and 12
inches with up to 18 inches in the most persistent snow bands in
northwest Fulton County.

* WHERE…Northern Fulton County.

* WHEN…Until 4 PM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Lake effect snow bands will continue to
oscillate between the Mohawk Valley and southwest Adirondacks
during this long-duration event, bringing periods of heavy snow
and gusty winds resulting in blowing and drifting snow.
