Special Weather Statement issued January 3 at 5:27PM EST by NWS Wakefield VA

At 525 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking gusty snow showers along a
line extending from near Seaford to near Westover to 10 miles
northeast of Gwynn. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph, reduced visibility due to falling
snow, and slick roads.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Snow may briefly cover the roads,
creating slick driving conditions.

Westover, Delmar, Tangier, University Of Maryland Eastern Shore,
Hebron, Lawsonia, Salisbury University, Princess Anne, Fruitland,
and Marion Station around 530 PM EST.
West Pocomoke and Salisbury around 535 PM EST.
Pocomoke City and Parsonsburg around 540 PM EST.
Nassawadox, Onancock, Onley, Exmore, and Parksley around 545 PM
EST.
Willis Wharf and Snow Hill around 550 PM EST.
Newark around 555 PM EST.
Berlin and Selbyville around 600 PM EST.
Ocean Pines around 605 PM EST.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Melfa, Brookview,
Cokesbury, Franktown, Sanford, Chesapeake Heights, Pittsville,
Powellville, Guilford, and Painter.
