Special Weather Statement issued January 3 at 5:40PM EST by NWS Raleigh NC

At 537 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a moderate snow shower
near Clayton, or 11 miles southeast of Raleigh, moving southeast at
30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and visibility reduced to of less
than 2 miles.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Moderate snow may reduce visibilities to
less than 2 miles for a quick duration.

Locations impacted include…
Raleigh, Smithfield, Garner, Clayton, Knightdale, Micro, Selma,
Wendell, Pine Level, and Kenly.
