Winter Storm Warning issued January 3 at 1:52PM CST until January 6 at 12:00AM CST by NWS Topeka KS

* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations between 8 and 12 inches, sleet accumulations around
one quarter of an inch, and ice accumulations up to two tenths of
an inch. Northeast to north winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Kansas.

* WHEN…From 9 AM Saturday to midnight CST Sunday Night.

* IMPACTS…Whiteout conditions are possible in blowing and drifting
snow. Travel may be impossible and life-threatening. Strong wind
and the weight of snow and ice on tree limbs may down power lines
and could cause sporadic power outages.
