Winter Storm Warning issued January 3 at 3:23PM EST until January 4 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Charleston WV

* WHAT…For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Total snow
accumulations between 3 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45
mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy mixed precipitation
possible. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 10 inches and ice
accumulations up to one tenth of an inch possible.

* WHERE…Portions of central, northeast, northern, and southeast
West Virginia.

* WHEN…For the Winter Storm Warning, until 10 AM EST Saturday. For
the Winter Storm Watch, from Sunday morning through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.
The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening and
Monday morning commutes. Whiteout conditions are expected and
will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening.
