High Surf Advisory issued January 4 at 1:30PM PST until January 5 at 9:00PM PST by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 10 to 14 feet on west and
northwest facing beaches, with dangerous rip currents. Very
minor nuisance flooding of normally dry sandy beach areas is
possible.

* WHERE…San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara
County Central Coast Beaches.

* WHEN…Until 9 PM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.
