Lake Effect Snow Warning issued January 4 at 1:27PM EST until January 5 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 10 to
18 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high
as 45 mph will produce considerable blowing and drifting snow with
near whiteout conditions at times.

* WHERE…Wayne County. The greatest accumulations are expected over
the northeast portion of the county.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult with snow covered roads.
Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. Gusty
winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages.
