* WHEN…Until 9 AM AKST Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The cold wind
chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on
exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow and blowing snow will continue through
Sunday morning before a brief lull in both winds and snow
intensity. Beginning late Sunday, two new storm systems will
bring additional rounds of heavy snow and strong winds to
Thompson Pass. Additional snow amounts of 18″ to 30″ could fall
between Sunday night and Tuesday afternoon. Strong winds during
these events could also cause drifting and blowing snow and
significantly reduce visibility.
