Winter Weather Advisory issued January 5 at 12:40PM AKST until January 7 at 3:00PM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Ice accumulations of up
to one quarter of an inch.

* WHERE…Susitna Valley.

* WHEN…From noon Monday to 3 PM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are
possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning
commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A series of storms will bring considerably
warmer weather and a chance of precipitation to the area today
through Tuesday. Rain is most likely to spread into the Susitna
Valley from Monday afternoon through early Tuesday. While
temperatures may rise above freezing, surface temperatures are
likely to remain below freezing due to recent cold weather.
Untreated and snow- covered roadways and other surfaces that
remain below freezing are expected to become extremely slick.
