…HEAVY SNOW ACROSS THE NORTHERN PANHANDLE…
.For the Winter Storm Warnings, a front moving northward is
bringing snow up to the Klondike and Haines Highways through late
tonight and into Monday. Warming temperatures will push gradually
northward through Monday, causing a change to liquid. Timing
issues are complicating the changeover times. A separate front
will bring heavy rain and upper elevation snow to the region
Monday night through Tuesday.
Precipitation has changed over to rain or non-accumulating wintry
mix for much of the advisory area, therefore the Winter Weather
Advisory will be allowed to expire. Although temperatures will
gradually warm through tonight, with temperatures near freezing,
plan on slippery conditions through the morning commute Monday.
