Winter Weather Advisory issued January 6 at 1:39PM AKST until January 7 at 3:00PM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Ice accumulations of up
to one quarter of an inch.

* WHERE…Susitna Valley.

* WHEN…Until 3 PM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are
possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the afternoon
commute Monday and the early morning commute Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Freezing rain has been reported across
much of the area, leading to numerous reports of slick
conditions on untreated roads and other surfaces. Although
temperatures are rising to above freezing in many locations,
ice may continue to accrue as ground and surface temperatures
remain below freezing for an extended period.
