Special Weather Statement issued January 8 at 4:39PM EST by NWS Gray ME

At 437 PM EST…An area of heavy snow showers was along a line
extending from 6 miles northwest of Pittsfield to near Livermore
Falls…and moving southeast AT 10 MPH.

Locations impacted include…
Augusta, Waterville, Fairfield, Oakland, Skowhegan, Pittsfield,
China, Clinton, Belgrade, Farmingdale, Manchester, Hallowell,
Winthrop, Unity, Norridgewock, Benton, Chelsea, Canaan, Albion, and
Hartland.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 105 and 156.

* Snowfall accumulation of up to 1 inches is expected in this area
of heavy snow showers.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
