Wind Advisory issued January 7 at 1:30PM MST until January 8 at 12:00AM MST by NWS Albuquerque NM

* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, east winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts
up to 55 mph expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold
wind chills as low as 4 above expected.

* WHERE…Middle Rio Grande Valley including the Albuquerque Metro
Area. The strongest winds will occur at the base of Tijeras Canyon
in east Albuquerque.

* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, from 5 PM this afternoon to midnight
MST tonight. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight
to 8 AM MST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on area
roadways. Bitter wind chills will increase the risk of frostbite
and hypothermia.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The potential exists for light snow in the
Rio Grande Valley. Blowing snow may produce lowered visibility as
well.
