Winter Weather Advisory issued January 8 at 2:21PM MST until January 9 at 11:00PM MST by NWS Albuquerque NM

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3
inches except between 4 and 9 inches above 7500 feet. Winds
gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…Eastern Lincoln County, South Central Mountains, Curry
County, Roosevelt County, and Southwest Chaves County.

* WHEN…From 5 AM to 11 PM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
in front of you. The hazardous conditions could impact the
Thursday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Wind chills will fall into the single-digits
to teens threatening hypothermia and frostbite to anyone exposed
to the elements.
