Winter Storm Warning issued January 9 at 1:49PM EST until January 11 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA

* WHAT…Moderate snow is expected. Total snow accumulations between
3 and 5 inches, locally higher amounts could be possible.

* WHERE…Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina and
central, south central, and southwest Virginia.

* WHEN…From 1 PM Friday to 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. The strong winds and weight of
snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic
power outages. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
