Winter Storm Watch issued January 9 at 1:14PM MST until January 13 at 5:00AM MST by NWS Billings MT

* WHAT…Heavy snow and blowing snow possible. Total snow
accumulations between 12 to 18 possible over the mountains and
higher hills and 2 to 5 inches over lower elevations. Winds could
gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of south central and southeast Montana and north
central Wyoming.

* WHEN…From Friday evening through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. Roads may become slick.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Over lower elevations, precipitation may
begin as rain Friday night and cause ice to form on roads as
temperatures decrease below freezing.
