* WHAT…Life-threatening rip currents due to breaking waves
around 6 feet.

* WHERE…Northern exposed beaches of Vieques and northern and
eastern exposed beaches of St. Croix.

* WHEN…From midnight through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water, where it becomes difficult to
return to safety.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Building seas, generated by pulses of
long- period northerly swells, will promote life-threatening
rip current and dangerous swimming conditions through the
weekend.
