Lake Effect Snow Warning issued January 12 at 10:03PM EST until January 16 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 8
to 18 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as
high as 35 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE…Greatest accumulations across western Wyoming, western
Chautauqua, far northwest Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie Counties.

* WHEN…From 1 PM Monday to 4 AM EST Thursday. The heaviest snow
and greatest impact to travel is expected to be Tuesday morning
through Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult with very poor visibility
and deep snow cover on roads. The hazardous conditions will impact
the Monday evening and Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
