Winter Weather Advisory issued January 12 at 10:03PM EST until January 14 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

* WHAT…A quick burst of snow will impact the entire Buffalo Metro
area during the Monday morning commute. Lake effect snow will then
develop over the Buffalo southtowns and southwest Genesee County
later Monday through Monday evening. Total snow accumulations 1 to
3 inches in most areas, and 3 to 6 inches in the most persistent
lake snows south of Buffalo and in southwest Genesee County. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph will produce some limited blowing and
drifting snow.

* WHERE…Northern Erie and Genesee Counties. Greatest snow
accumulations south of Buffalo and in southwest Genesee County.

* WHEN…From 5 AM Monday to 4 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on snow covered and slippery road conditions and
reduced visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the
Monday morning and evening commutes.
