* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow. Total snow accumulations 1 to 2
feet in the most persistent lake snows, with localized totals of
around 3 feet on the Tug Hill Plateau. Winds gusting as high as 35
mph will also produce areas of blowing and drifting snow.
* WHERE…The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. The greatest
accumulations will focus on the Tug Hill region of southern
Jefferson, northern Oswego, and western Lewis counties.
* WHEN…Until 1 PM EST Wednesday. The heaviest snowfall rates and
greatest impact to travel will be late tonight through Tuesday
evening.
* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult with very poor visibility
and deep snow cover on roads. The hazardous conditions will impact
the Monday evening and Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
