…HEAVY SNOW FOR THE KLONDIKE HIGHWAY FROM TWO SYSTEMS…

.A front advancing from the west is bringing a surge of moisture
to the Klondike Highway. Cooler temperatures aloft will keep
precipitation as snow along the Klondike. A second system is
bringing more snow with most accumulation happening along the
Klondike and Haines Highways. Warming temperatures tonight along
the Highways will result in diminishing snowfall accumulations.
The system will depart on Tuesday.

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5
inches near the border.

* WHERE…Haines Borough and Klukwan.

* WHEN…From noon today to 3 AM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Accumulating snow limited to locations
near the border with rain elsewhere. Breezy conditions with
gusts to 40 mph east of Klukwan.
