White River At Clarendon affecting Monroe and Arkansas Counties.
White River At Augusta affecting White and Woodruff Counties.
Cache River Near Patterson affecting Jackson and Woodruff
Counties.
For the Lower White River…including Newport, Augusta, Georgetown,
Des Arc, Clarendon…Minor flooding is forecast.
For the Cache River…including Patterson…Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…White River at Clarendon.
* WHEN…Until Wednesday, January 22.
* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, River flows in many side channels and
creates islands between the river and sloughs and creeks. Flooding
of cropland and timber is occurring. Portions of the National
Wildlife Refuge downstream of Clarendon flooding.
At 28.0 feet, Maddox Bay off Highway 146 will be closed off due to
high water. Closure of specific flood prone regions as determined
by Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Some of this area may
include the Mike Freeze Wattensaw WMA…Benson Creek Natural Area
WMA and the Sheffield Nelson Dagmar WMA.

– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Tuesday, January 21 and continue falling to 25.3 feet Friday,
January 24.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
