High pressure will shift eastward over the Mid-Atlantic U.S. bringing northeasterly winds across the state creating mostly dry conditions statewide (near 0-5% chance of rain).
Both a mixture of sunshine and cloud cover can be expected throughout the state, but breezy wind gusts of 10-15 mph can be expected throughout Central and South Florida with stronger wind gusts upwards of 20-25 mph along the East Coast.
Drier air filtering southward throughout the Suwannee Valley and interior Central Florida will create sensitive wildfire conditions as relative humidity values will fall near and below critical thresholds this afternoon (30-40%).
High temperatures will reach the upper 50s to low 60s across North Florida, middle to upper 60s across Central Florida and low to middle 70s across South Florida and the Keys.
Increasing cloud cover and rain chances can be expected overnight along the I-10 corridor with isolated to widely scattered showers developing during the predawn hours on Thursday (20-40% chance of rain).
Any shower activity that develops should remain light and brief in nature.
Low temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to low 40s across North Florida, upper 40s to low 50s across Central Florida and middle 50s to middle 60s across South Florida.
Northeasterly winds and ocean swells of 4-6′ will create a moderate to high risk for rip currents for the Atlantic Coast. Numerous Panhandle and West-Central Florida beaches can expect a moderate risk for rip currents.
The Shoal River near Crestview is within Action Stage (bank-full), but is forecast to fall below this stage in the next couple of days and river flooding is not expected.
