High Surf Advisory issued January 16 at 2:59PM ChST until January 20 at 6:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU

* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet at Kosrae, and 9 to
12 feet at Majuro.

* WHERE…East facing reefs of Kosrae and Majuro.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM ChST Monday.

* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Minor wave run-up or splash up is
possible, especially around high tide. Surf still remains
elevated along the north facing reefs, but currently below
hazardous levels. Another pulse of northerly swell may cause
surf to become hazardous along north facing reefs over the
weekend.
