Small Craft Advisory issued January 16 at 9:57PM CST until January 17 at 6:00AM CST by NWS Duluth MN

* WHAT…For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 10 to 20 kt
with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 3 to 6 ft expected. For the
Gale Warning, west winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt
and waves 5 to 8 ft expected.

* WHERE…Grand Portage to Grand Marais MN and Grand Marais to
Taconite Harbor MN.

* WHEN…For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 AM CST Friday.
For the Gale Warning, from 6 AM Friday to 10 AM CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The strongest winds with the Gale Warning
will occur Friday night into Saturday morning after winds veer
to northwest.
