Wind Advisory issued January 17 at 9:31PM CST until January 18 at 6:00AM CST by NWS Duluth MN

* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with
gusts up to 50 mph. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind
chills as low as 33 below zero expected. For the Extreme Cold
Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 44 below zero
expected.

* WHERE…Southern Cook and Southern Lake Counties. This includes
the Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation.

* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, until 6 AM CST Saturday. For the
Cold Weather Advisory, until 6 PM CST Saturday. For the Extreme
Cold Warning, from 6 PM Saturday to noon CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The
dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Frostbite
and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these
temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could
cause ruptured water pipes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds will be perpendicular to Highway 61
increasing the threat for high profile vehicle rollovers.
