mph expected.
* WHERE…Anchorage Hillside and higher elevations around Eagle
River.
* WHEN…From 1 AM to 9 AM AKST Sunday.
* IMPACTS…High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and
cause power outages. Travel will be difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…East to southeasterly winds will increase
this evening as a frontal system moves toward Southcentral Alaska.
Winds will peak between midnight tonight and early Sunday morning
before diminishing around noon. The strongest winds will likely
remain at elevation with a north to northwest wind around 10 to 15
mph for the rest of the Anchorage Bowl. An occasional
southeasterly wind gust to around 40 mph is possible for south and
northeast Anchorage and along the S-Curves of the Glenn Highway.
