Rip Current Statement issued January 18 at 8:43PM AST until January 20 at 6:00AM AST by NWS San Juan PR

* WHAT…Life-threatening rip currents due to breaking waves
between up to 6 to 7 feet and occasionally higher.

* WHERE…North-facing beaches of Puerto Rico, from Aguadilla to
Fajardo, Culebra.

* WHEN…Through at least late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water, where it becomes difficult to
return to safety.
