Winter Weather Advisory issued January 18 at 7:51PM AKST until January 20 at 12:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 12 to
20 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Turnagain Pass.

* WHEN…From 6 PM this evening until midnight Sunday night.

* IMPACTS…Travel may be difficult. Plan on slippery road
conditions. Visibilities will be limited in heavy snowfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The worst conditions are expected between
midnight and noon Sunday where snowfall rates as high as 1 to
2 inches per hour are possible in Turnagain Pass.
