* WHAT…Very cold wind chills as low as -15 to -25 degrees in most
places during the late night and morning hours. Wind chills in far
northern counties such as Valley and Greeley could briefly
approach -30.
* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, and south central
Nebraska, including the Tri Cities.
* WHEN…Until noon CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite
on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and
hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these
temperatures.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Even during the afternoon hours Monday it
will still be very cold, with wind chill readings improving to no
better than -5 to -15 degrees in most places.
