Extreme Cold Watch issued January 19 at 8:42PM CST until January 22 at 9:00AM CST by NWS New Orleans LA

* WHAT…Very cold wind chills expected this week. Southwest
Mississippi and adjacent Louisiana Parishes will see wind chills
10 to 15 degrees. The I-10/12 corridors and points south can
expect wind chills 15 to 25 degrees. For the Extreme Cold Watch,
dangerously cold wind chills as low as 5 to 10 above possible.

* WHERE…Portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

* WHEN…For the first Cold Weather Advisory, until 9 AM CST Monday.
For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM Monday to 6 PM CST
Tuesday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Tuesday evening through
Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS…Hard freeze conditions are forecast for areas along and
north if the I-12 corridor as well as southwest and coastal
Mississippi. In addition, very cold temperatures and wind chills
can lead to hypothermia if proper clothing is not worn.
