High Wind Watch issued January 19 at 12:28PM MST until January 21 at 5:00AM MST by NWS Midland/Odessa TX

* WHAT…For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold wind chills as
low as 13 below possible. For the High Wind Watch, northeast winds
35 to 55 mph with gusts up to 70 mph possible.

* WHERE…In New Mexico, Guadalupe Mountains of Eddy County. In
Texas, Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains.

* WHEN…For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Monday afternoon through
Tuesday morning. For the High Wind Watch, from Monday afternoon
through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles like campers, vans, and tractor trailers. The cold wind
chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia if
precautions are not taken. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if
unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended
period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.
