Lake Wind Advisory issued January 20 at 1:28AM EST until January 20 at 6:00AM EST by NWS Charleston SC

* WHAT…For the Lake Wind Advisory on Lake Moultrie, northwest
winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 25 knots and waves 2 to 3 feet.
For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills 15 to 20
degrees tonight and 10 to 15 degrees above zero both Tuesday night
and Wednesday night.

* WHERE…Inland Berkeley County.

* WHEN…For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 6 AM EST Wednesday.
For the Lake Wind Advisory, until 6 AM EST early this morning.

* IMPACTS…Strong winds and rough waves on Lake Moultrie will
create hazardous conditions for small craft. Very cold
temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…This will be an unusually long period of
bitterly cold weather. Daytime highs will only warm into the 30s
both Tuesday and Wednesday with overnight lows dropping into the
teens to lower 20s. Be sure to take protective actions to prepare
both your home and business as well as yourself for this period of
very cold weather.
