Winter Weather Advisory issued January 19 at 3:01PM AKST until January 20 at 9:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Heavy snow with periods of freezing rain mixed with snow.
Additional snow accumulations of 10 to 15 inches. Visibility
reduced to 1/2 mile at times. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE…Thompson Pass.

* WHEN…Until 9 AM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS…Travel may be difficult. Plan on slippery road
conditions. Visibilities will be limited in heavy snowfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Periods of freezing rain mixed with snow
possible near the summit of Thompson Pass this evening. Snow
changing to rain is expected for Valdez to Keystone Canyon.
