Cold Weather Advisory issued January 21 at 3:32AM EST until January 21 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

* WHAT…For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 10 below. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind
chills as low as 20 below expected.

* WHERE…Avery County.

* WHEN…For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 11 AM EST this
morning. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 7 PM this evening to
noon EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…The cold wind chills can result in hypothermia and
frostbite if precautions are not taken. Frostbite and hypothermia
will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
