Extreme Cold Warning issued January 20 at 5:58PM CST until January 21 at 12:00PM CST by NWS North Platte NE

* WHAT…Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below.

* WHERE…Portions of north central, panhandle, and west central
Nebraska.

* WHEN…Until noon CST /11 AM MST/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.
