and northwest Pennsylvania.
* WHEN…Until 10 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS…The cold wind chills as low as 26 below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite
and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these
temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could
cause ruptured water pipes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Low temperatures this morning will range from
5 to 15 below zero. Wind chill values will be between 20 and 26
below zero, with localized colder wind chills.
Lingering cold with sub zero wind chills could continue through
tonight.
